We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Estate Services Caretaker to join our brilliant Estate Services team in West Yorkshire. You’ll be joining a social housing provider with big growth plans, so we’re interested in hearing from individuals who are ready to take on their next challenge.

What you'll be doing

You’ll constantly strive to keep our schemes looking in tip-top shape, by carrying out routine patrols and inspections, maintaining a visible presence in the designated area, identifying where improvements can be made, and actions are required.

You’ll provide a first-class service through responding to first fix repairs, keeping designated areas clean and tidy and ensuring the health and safety of our customers and colleagues at all times.

You’ll create trust with our customers by reporting the failure of third-party services and following up on actions where appropriate. You’ll respond to incidents that could be classed as emergencies and deliver first aid when required.

You’ll undertake a range of minor repairs to communal areas and occupied and empty homes. These include but are not confined to joinery, plumbing and groundworks.

You’ll act as a trusted contact for customers, building positive relationships and signposting to further assistance.

What you’ll bring to the role

Experience working with a building estate or facilities management related capacity
Experience in repairs diagnosis and delivery
Minor repairs skills e.g. joinery, plumbing and groundworks

Strong communication and people skills
A willingness to learn and undertake training when required
Ability to work on your own initiative
Ability to work flexibility
A ‘can-do' attitude who enjoys finding innovative solutions

Strong problem-solving skills
