Job description

PURPOSE:
We are looking for a reliable company driver who is concerned with customer satisfaction and transporting items in a safe, timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• load, transport, and deliver items to business in a safe, timely manner
• review orders before and after pick-up to ensure that orders are complete and the charges are correct
• assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles
• adhere to assigned routes and following time schedules
• abide by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving records
• work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• perform regular inspections and maintenance of vehicle
• follow safe work policies and procedures including all PPE (personal protective equipment)
• adhere to all health & safety, and food safety procedures and policies

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• You are a Team Player with a ‘can-do’ and ‘can learn’ attitude
• You are reliable and self-motivated, able to work under minimal supervision
• You have good physical fitness and strength
• You must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, twisting, lifting throughout entire shift
• You must be able to safely lift up to 25 kgs
• You have an ability to work in an efficient but safe manner
• You have strong time management and customer service skills
• You have a valid driver's license in Ontario and a clean driving record
• You have a high school diploma or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
