Your New Role
Are you a driver looking to move into an extremely interesting industry? Or perhaps you are looking to embark on new career journey?
Your new role will be based out of our Findon site in Aberdeen and you will be ensuring that both our people and goods make it their destination safely and timely to meet operational and customer need.
You will thrive on meeting deadlines and you will be conscious of the safety of your vehicle and you will also have a keen eye for detail by planning your own routes.
What You Can Expect from the Role
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Map out driving routes in advance to determine the most expedient trip, using local knowledge to account for regular congestion and to adapt routes to temporary blockages and issues. Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up to date on road conditions
- Carrie out vehicle inspection at start of shift, identifying and booking in any ad hoc maintenance issues; ensures the vehicle is clean and fit for use. Book vehicle in for planned maintenance and cleaning
- Collect people or products at designated place and time, ensuring vehicle is loaded safely and within legal limits. Transport people or products to allotted destination
- Complete associated paperwork, noting accurate mileage
- Drive with due care and attention, observing all national and local road instructions
- Maintain a clean driving licence, alerting operational managers to any traffic offences or incidents as needed

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have
Essential Criteria
- Clean driving license
- 1+ years of similar experience
- ADR preferred but not essential
