About Us
Superior Render Supplies is a fast growing, nationwide distributor specialising in the rendering industry. We will shortly be opening our second branch in Plymouth and are looking for a proactive individual to join our team.
The Role
We are recruiting for a Driver/Yard Person to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
· Collecting stock or goods from a collection point and ensuring that all customer orders are complete.
· Packing the goods in the delivery vehicle in an organised manner that matches the order in which the deliveries will be made.
· Checking paperwork to make sure all the correct materials are loaded.
· Planning the shortest and best routes to clients by taking factors like roadblocks and traffic into consideration
· Using GPS navigation apps and knowledge of the area to deliver packages to customers on time.
· Doing regular maintenance checks on delivery vans and informing management of any issues
· Driving in inclement weather such as snow
· Delivering products that are in good condition to clients.
· Interacting with clients in a friendly and professional manner
· Unloading packages at the destination and getting clients to sign the necessary paperwork.
· Pick out customer orders against a sales invoice/pick list.
· Loading and unloading delivery/supplier/customer vehicles.
· Ensure stock is stored in an organised and tidy fashion.
· Carry out other potential duties as requested by the Management Team.
· Operating the tinting machine to produce customer orders
· Operating forklift and other mechanical lifting equipment.
Weekly working hours are as follows:
· Monday – Friday
· 7:30am – 4:30pm (4:00pm finish on Friday)
· No weekends or bank holidays
20 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing with length of service
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a positive individual with a strong work ethic and can-do attitude to join our team. Prospective candidates will meet the following criteria:
· Current forklift license is essential.
· Knowledge of local area for deliveries would be beneficial.
· Existing product knowledge is again ideal but not essential, as full training around products will be provided.
· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
· Competent numeracy and literacy skills.
· Must be physically capable, with a reasonable degree of physical fitness due to the heavy nature of the work.
· A positive attitude, with excellent levels of attention to detail and organisation are essential.
· Full, clean UK driving license.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £11.00 per hour
