ROLE OVERVIEW
This person is responsible for the initial processing of new driver and re-qualified driver qualification documents in preparation of this driver being qualified or rejected by the van lines.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

- Set up file for the new or re-qualified driver-applicants in order to determine eligibility for qualification
- Initial review of Qualification Documents for completeness and acceptability. Interaction with the qualifying agent to resolve any initial issues
- Order and evaluate Motor Vehicle Records, CIDLis records, D&A Clearinghouse Records, PSP reports and criminal background checks to determine a driver-candidate’s eligibility based on DOT and van lines’ requirements.
- Evaluate DOT physicals and any associated medical records to determine a driver-candidate’s eligibility based on DOT and van lines’ requirement.
- Review driver-candidate records concerning Entry Level Training, ICOA, insurance compliance, or additional ID verification are required.
- Review SS records, immigration and other work-status documents to validate eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Review previous SIRVA van lines’ qualification records to identify any driver-candidate eligibility concerns.
- Interact with applicants, agent personnel, SIRVA associates and management staff to assist in making decisions regarding the qualification of drivers
- Review email, answer phones, and assist the agents with questions and issues relating to the qualification process.
- Based on the entirety of the preceding reviews, make driver qualification recommendations to the Senior Driver Qualification Administrator
- Employment verification
- Upon temporary qualification of a driver-qualification candidate, conduct employment verification of all past employers to validate work history and to acquire the necessary DOT safety-sensitive driver information and any drug/alcohol test results as required by federal regulation.
- Research, investigate and validate any gaps in employment history/information or periods of non-work activity to account for all periods of time as required by federal regulations
- Set up Driver files for new or re-qualified applicants
- Index Agent, local, and fax scans
- Upload Emails
- Upload PSP, MVRS, CDLis, and Criminal records
- Scan to SISTRS/DCR
- Prepare files for DOT/Insurance Audit for both agent and Corporate
- 0-3 years’ experience
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication and writing skills
- Self-motivated with good team work habits
- Good organizational skills and able to do multi-task.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and van lines policies would be helpful, but not required.
- High school diploma or GED
