Collections Driver

Serco Workforce Solutions are looking for Casual Refuse Collections Driver to join our team of essential key workers and help us make a positive difference to the environment we all live and work in.

What you’ll be doing
To carry out refuse & recycling collections daily with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job.- Undertaking all duties in a professional manner deploying safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate to articles left for removal.
- Use of in-cab technology/mobile devices as directed by the Contract.
- Completing relevant paperwork in real time.
- Responsible for the daily inspection and reporting of machinery, before and after usage, including vehicles.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles.
- To maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly members of the public and other motor users.
Your typical working hours are:
- 6am to 2pm
- OR
- 7am to 3pm
- Monday – Friday
What you’ll need to do the role
- Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (With no more than 6 points),
- Driver CPC
- Willingness to help Loaders whilst on your rounds to enable your team to complete the route within the service level agreement.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated
- Willingness to undertake tasks.
- Clean drivers licence desirable for all staff
- Previous relevant experience desirable.
