HGV Class 1 Shunter – Nights – Corby Site, Runtech Ltd

We have a great opportunity for an eager and motivated Shunter here at Runtech, based within our Contract Logistics department at Corby Tata Steel site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the positioning of stand trailers from the trailer park to the loading area and return once loaded to facilitate both domestic and international movements.

Tasks & responsibilities:

· Undertake written pre shift checks to Tugs ensuring any defects are logged

· Adhere to all safe working practices in line with Runtech Ltd policies

· Ensure loads are securely strapped

· Complete daily trailer movement log

· Timely escalation of any issues

· To assist with chaperoning live load drivers

· Ability to meet targets as required by the customer

· Working proactively as part of a team to reach objectives

· Carry out all duties as required by manager

· Experience in a similar heavy industrial environment desirable

· Ability to follow instructions and work independently

· Comply with Health & Safety procedure

Requirements:

· Full and clean UK Driving Licence

· Internal site HGV Class 1 licence preferable

· Experience of HGV driving preferred but not essential

Package:

· 60 Hours per Week –Monday to Friday- 7pm – 7am (12 hours per night)

· Annual Salary of £41,142 (includes night shift allowance of £2,080)

· Auto enrolled onto the company pension scheme

· Uniform and PPE Provided

· 30 days holiday per year inclusive of Bank holidays

The successful candidate will be subject to our induction process that will include drug & alcohol testing.

• 12 hour shift
• Night shift
