Brora
Temporary - 6 months
£11.95ph
Monday-Thursday 8.00am - 4.30pm & Friday 8.00am - 1.00pm
Our public sector client located in Brora is looking for Community Works LGV drivers on a temporary basis starting 22nd August. This a full time post working Monday- Friday with an hourly rate of £11.95.

Our public sector client located in Brora is looking for Community Works LGV drivers on a temporary basis starting 22nd August. This a full time post working Monday- Friday with an hourly rate of £11.95.
Main purpose of the role:
- Carry out road and winter maintenance duties as directed
- Drive HGV vehicles including Snow Ploughs
- Participate in all aspects of Roads and Winter Maintenance and when required providing cover for Street Sweeping, Grounds Maintenance, Burials and Refuse Collection
- Carry out all aspects of Roads and Winter Maintenance
- Carry out LGV driving duties including Winter Maintenance snow plough driving and
- gritting
- Assist in specialist Roads Maintenance operations like Surfacing and Drainage works among others
- Experience and knowledge of road maintenance work
- Basic level of literacy and numeracy
- Ability to work outdoors in all weathers
- Ability to work as part of a team or on your own
- Ability to understand instructions and experience in the use of mobile technology
- An awareness of Health and Safety at Work Act
- Experience of operating construction related plant or other construction related skill
- Possession of Driving Licence for LGV, Category C and C + E.
- Experience of specialist road maintenance such as surfacing, surface dressing or white lining, drainage works and hard paving.
- A desire to learn new skills
- A flexible approach to a variety and quantity of tasks
- The ability to work on your own initiative
