Laundry Driver
Hours: 21
Salary: £10.82 per hour
At Morris Care Centre in Wellington, we are recruiting for a Driver to transport laundry between our care homes in the Shropshire area.
Working an average of 21 hours per week over a 2-week shift pattern as follows.
Week 1
Mon - 12.00 - 18.00
Tue - 12.00 - 18.00
Sat - 12.00 - 18.00
Sun - 12.00 - 18.00
Week 2
Wed - 12.00-18.00
Thu - 12.00-18.00
Fri - 12.00-18.00
Responsibilities of the Driver
· To safely transport laundry as required and directed.
· To assist in ensuring that the Home's vehicle is maintained in a clean
and roadworthy condition, reporting any concerns to the Maintenance Operative.
· To keep a log of the vehicle's mileage.
· To attend staff meetings and training courses as required.
· Produce a copy of your driving licence annually upon request by the company to ensure continued permissions to drive.
Skills of the Driver
· Experience of navigating through unknown areas and driving in all weather conditions.
· Fitness to drive
· Full, clean driving licence
· Adaptable approach to work
· Able to work unsupervised and remain calm under pressure
