Job description
For deliveries and collections of electro-mechanical equipment mainly in the North West Area. Some lifting will be required. Operate small hand held plant and equipment for cleaning/painting/etc. & providing second person assistance to trades when required either in the workshop or at site. The candidates need to have a licence to drive a 7.5 ton truck.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive all companies vehicles, 7.5 Ton truck, flat back truck, vans, forklifts, etc.
Loading unloading equipment & complete relevant paperwork & documentation as per ISO9001/201
Operate various hand held tools & equipment (training will be provided) i.e. grinders, paint spray gun, etc.
Providing second person assistance to trades when required either in the workshop or at site
Understand the Company procedures within the QESH and Employee Handbook.
Report defective equipment and dangerous situations, accidents and near misses.
Use safety equipment and PPE provided.
To exercise reasonable care towards him/herself and responsibility for the H&S of others.
Co-operate with management in the production of Risk Assessments and/or any health surveillance.
To comply with safe working practise and behaviour at all times.
To be able to work to time specific deadlines and perform overtime as required.
Ensures that all records are updated after completion of work, and that all equipment and tooling is suitable and maintained in good condition.
Ensure that any modifications are properly controlled and documented
Willingness to work in a team environment
Ability to work overtime, as required
TECHNICAL BACKGROUND
On-going training will be provided in technical areas as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a full driving licence and able to drive a 7.5 ton truck
Must have the relevant work visa to work in the UK.
RELATED EXPERIENCE
A number of years’ experience in a similar role.
Must be located new our facility in St. Helens
