The Company:
Our client owns one of the biggest concrete pumps in the UK, who have built an unrivalled reputation based on excellence, supplying high quality ready mixed concrete, liquid screedand concrete blocksin the South West of England and South Wales. They are offering a great opportunity of an on-going agency work for a Class 2 driver to join them on a Monday to Friday/Monday-Saturday shift pattern.
The Opportunity:
Operating from their depot in Avonmouth, the company deliver their goods to building sites and private customers around the Bristol area.
If you are not experienced in tipper driving you will have full training for the first week with an experienced driver/trainer all free of charge! The training will include loading the vehicle, full training of the process of the company, as well as discharge of the load at delivery and full training in the handheld tablet used to record your delivery.
You are expected to deliver/discharge cement to around 4-5 different sites around the area.
The shift pattern is alternate days of Monday to Friday one week and Monday to Saturday the next week.
Start times are staggered between 06:00-07:00 on these days and you will have a guaranteed 45 hours per week with the average week
Pay:
PAYE
Our customer is offering a highly competitive rate of £14 per hour both through agency and permanently.
The day will be between 9-10 hours long on weekdays and Saturday’s usually finish around lunchtime but you will be paid a full shift nevertheless.
The average week is 57 hours per week including the Saturday.
Key Requirements:
· HGV 2 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, CPC Card (Newly passed accepted)
· Strong communication and teamwork skills
· The knowledge and initiative to solve basic problems and make routine decisions
· Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
· Unfortunately, we cannot take anyone with a DR10 on their licence
