Job Title: Maintenance Technician/Driver

Location: Ashford

Hours: 0800-1700 Monday to Friday - Alternate On-call weekends.

Salary: £23'000 + On-Call allowance

HRGO are pleased to be recruiting for an Maintenance Technician/ Driver for our client based in Ashford. Responsible to the Maintenance Manager, responsibilities will include maintenance works, security, porting and driving vehicles. All work must be completed in line with the clients Safety and Safeguarding Policies.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out maintenance and related tasks as specified by the Estates and Maintenance Managers
• Routine testing including legionella, lighting and alarms
• Carry out general building work (internal and external) including electrical, brickwork, basic plastering, tiling, basic carpentry, basic plumbing, painting and decorating
• Driving school vehicles for regular services or single events

On-Call:

• Opening and closing, unlocking and locking of school buildings and gates, including the locking of all windows and doors as well as drawing window blinds and powering down equipment as appropriate.
• Register as one of the main key holders and be the first point of contact in an emergency call-out situation.
• Perform pool checks on Saturday and Sunday when on duty
• Set up for Saturday sports events as required when on duty.

About You:

• You MUST have all relevant qualifications/experience in building maintenance.
• Full drivers license is a MUST
• Ability to operate to tight deadlines in a busy work schedule
• Friendly and a team player

This is a full time position which will require you to participate in on-call on alternate weekends. Please do not apply if you are unable to commit to the hours.
