Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit a Class 2 Drivers on behalf of our client to join their team in Blackburn.

Hours of work:

• Days 0400 – 0600 starts.
• 1 or 2 nights out per week maybe necessary.

Salary:

• £10.50 to £16.00 per hour.

The Role:

• Delivery of glass on HGV 2 vehicles.
• Delivering to businesses, residential addresses & building sites.

• Delivery of glass on HGV 2 vehicles.
• Delivering to businesses, residential addresses & building sites.
• Most of loads on stillage’s and unloaded by FLT, some handball may be required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
• Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
• To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
• To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.

Essential Skills:

• Good communication skills.
• Good customer relations.
• Have a safe driving record.
• Hold a valid HGV 2 / Cat C licence.
• No more than 6 minor penalty points.
• No DR’s, IN’s or DD’s offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
• Driver qualification (CPC) card.
• Digital tacho card.
