Casual Worker Job Details
- This is a casual position not permanent but does have the potential to become permanent.
- You can be let go at any time for any reason while in a casual status.
- Driver/Lashers operate the yard jockey trucks loading and offloading barges. You may also lash down cargo, work in inspections, or be tasked with various jobs on the terminal.
- Benefits provided for employee.
- The hourly wage is $20.60
- No guaranteed hours.
- No set schedules.
- Hours are assigned daily as needed based on vessel operations.
- The job is on-call.
- You MUST have a current TWIC to apply.
- CDL with hazmat endorsement is preferred but not required.

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO UPLOAD A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE AND TWIC.
All casual workers will be required to obtain a port security identification pass issued by the Jacksonville Port Authority. Any applicant unable to obtain a pass is not eligible for hire.
Casual workers are temporary employees used to cover situations such as replacements for absenteeism, vacation, and increased workload.
Casual workers are NOT GUARANTEED a (40) forty-hour workweek nor a full-time regular position with the company.
Casual workers must be available for work at all times.
Casual workers may be required to perform duties in the freight warehouses, lashing onboard vessels, working in various other positions throughout the terminal, and performing other physical and manual labor tasks as directed by terminal management.
