CEDA is currently seeking Operators at our Conklin, Jackfish and Christina Lake locations.

• 14x14 and 20x10 shifts are available with opportunity to work overtime (especially during the turnaround seasons in the spring and fall). Operators can expect to earn $100,000 plus, per year.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain combo, semi-vac, super B, tri-quad, pressure truck equipment and various specialty tools
• Work safely at heights up to 100 meters in a labour intensive capacity
• Climb safely into small vessels and tanks with industrial cleaning equipment – our experienced crew has your back
• Complete minor maintenance and checks on equipment
• Ensure safety for all team members and property
• Provide quality services to our clients
• Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
• Learn new skills every day by rigging in and out specialty equipment
• Leave the job site in better condition that when we got there. Clean, safe and job done.
• Haul hoses, PPE and tools to where the work is being done
• Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 licence with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is required
• Driving is in your nature, a manual transmission is a breeze (10 - 18 speed, doesn’t matter you will pass CEDA’s driver assessment with flying colours)
• 1+ years’ experience in an industrial environment on pressure and vacuum equipment is preferred
• H2S Alive and CSO (Common Safety Orientation or CSTS-09 required
• Confined Space - Entry & Monitor and elevated Work Platform tickets are an asset but not required, we can train you!

Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
• Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
• You have the ability to work well in a team, share a laugh with your coworkers and get the job done safely
