Job description

Caloosa Regional Transportation is seeking individuals to join the team as a Non Emergency Medical Transporter for Lee County FL and surrounding areas. ***We are looking for individuals who currently live in Naples. That have a 4 door sedan, Minivan, cross over suv***

As a Non-Emergency Medical Transporter, you will transport patients to and from medical-related appointments and services.

You will be using your own vehicle for this position.

About this position:

  • This is a 1099 independent contractor position
  • Guaranteed minimum pay of 500 per week with potential to earn over 1000
  • Drivers are required to work Monday through Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings are available for those who are seeking additional work.
  • On average, trips start as early as 4am and can go to 6pm; Hours of work during those days can change from day to day. Drivers are expected to be available during these times to run trips.
  • All new hires will be certified online with our company to meet Medicaid/Medicare requirements

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Complete work through our application and ensure safe transportation for riders between home and approved facilities and locations.
  • Monitor communication equipment to maintain contact with dispatcher
  • Maintain a clean and safe vehicle, free of any odors, to ensure pleasant transportation for riders
  • Arrive on time for pickup and drop off appointments
  • Complete pre-scheduled and on-demand NEMT work within your work hours
  • Make nightly calls to scheduled riders to inform them of estimated pick-up time
  • Communicate all issues, cancellations, and no-shows with dispatch team, when safe to do so, through our driver app

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 25 years old.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must not have previous felony convictions
  • Must have clean driving record
  • No previous DUI's and/or reckless driving convictions
  • Must have a functioning smartphone to be used for work
  • Must have a licensed vehicle, 2010 or newer with 4 doors and able to pass inspection (AC, Emergency Lights, Turn Signals, Seat belts, Windshield Wipers, and Horn)
  • Ability to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination
  • Ability to pass a drug screening

Preferences:

  • Licensed 4 door sedan or minivan
  • Previous experience as an NEMT or driver in other related fields
