Job Description:
The role holder will be required to work under pressure to meet targets and the role holder will need to be flexible to work additional hours when required.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- The safe loading, unloading, and shunting of various products across the Port of Middlesbrough.
- Ensuring load security and stability, adequately restraining, and discharging loads in line with correct procedures and certified practices.
- Undertaking a full condition inspection of vehicle in accordance with correct procedures and certified practices.
- Safe and efficient handling of the vehicle in all respects, including the optimisation of fuel usage and cleanliness of the vehicle.
- Adhere to procedures regarding the proper use and care of equipment and materials associated with the role.
- Assist with other duties as required to include the safe operation of other heavy plant and machinery.
- Accurately complete all paperwork.
- Working to both customer and Company health and safety requirements.
- Establishing effective working relationships with all people based on site.
- Any other reasonable task as requested by management.
