Drain Repair Engineer - Field Service

£31,000 - £34,280 DOE + Company Vehicle + Annual Bonus + OT + Benefits
The Client
We are currently working on behalf of a rapidly expanding, independent specialist with an impeccable reputation. The company was established in 1994, having grown from a single “man and a van” into a 160+ strong, UK wide operation which continues to expand and reward its employees year on year.

The Role
They currently have a permanent requirement for a Drainage Engineer (Repairs) to work in a home-based role, ideally located in Cheltenham / Swindon (or surrounding areas)
In the Drainage Engineer (Repairs) role you will predominantly be site based undertaking all drainage jobs whilst ensuring, where possible, that work is completed on the first visit. You will be able to confidently explain to customers what work you need to carry out ensuring you leave them with peace of mind
- Working Hours are 47.5 hours, Monday to Friday which includes your travel time door to door.
- Weekends are not typically worked, but voluntary overtime during the weekend is available, paid at time and a half.
Technical Support Team will be available at all times to help with any issues you may face whilst on the job, from technical problems to vehicle and kit requirements
Experience Required
Essential Skill Set
- CCTV (labelling and recording)
- CAT Scanning in order to identify buried services.
- CAT Scanning to trace/locate the drainage system using camera sonde.
- Open Cut pipework replacement in excavations up to a depth of 3.0m. (including knowledge of trench shoring methods)
- Patch Repair experience (no dig repair using patch packer)
- Relining experience (no dig repair via inversion of calibration hose through liner using air or water)
- Reinstatement of various domestic surface types (paving slabs, block paving, cold lay tarmac, concreting etc.)
- Excellent standard of customer care.
- Problem solving approach to repairs.
- DBS Basic Clearance Check – Essential
- Driving license with no more than 6 points
- Job competency and relevant experience

- Re-Rounding experience
- High Pressure Water Jetting (van pack)
- Use of 360 Excavators (1.5T, 3T, 5T)

The Rewards
The rewards for the successful candidate are excellent. The company are willing to pay a competitive basic salary between £31,000 - £34,280.
