Position Overview: We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Domiciliary Care Workers/ Support workers to join our team. As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with daily activities, promoting their independence, and ensuring their overall well-being. Your support will enable clients to maintain their dignity and remain in the familiarity of their home environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and hygiene assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and comfort of clients.
- Administer medications as per individual care plans.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Support clients in maintaining a clean and tidy living space.
- Foster companionship and engage in meaningful conversations.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and outings.
- Document daily activities and report any changes in clients' condition.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the care team.
- Provide support in supported Living Services.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a care-related role is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards clients and their families.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to listen actively.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to follow care plans and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
- Basic computer skills for documenting and reporting.
- A valid driver's license (if required for the position).
