Job description

Position Overview: We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Domiciliary Care Workers/ Support workers to join our team. As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with daily activities, promoting their independence, and ensuring their overall well-being. Your support will enable clients to maintain their dignity and remain in the familiarity of their home environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and hygiene assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and comfort of clients.
  • Administer medications as per individual care plans.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
  • Support clients in maintaining a clean and tidy living space.
  • Foster companionship and engage in meaningful conversations.
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments and outings.
  • Document daily activities and report any changes in clients' condition.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the care team.
  • Provide support in supported Living Services.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a care-related role is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided.
  • Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards clients and their families.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to listen actively.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to follow care plans and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
  • Basic computer skills for documenting and reporting.
  • A valid driver's license (if required for the position).
