Strabane & District Caring Services has Part-Time (16 hour) contracts available for Domiciliary Care Workers to provide care in the community in the Cityside & Waterside areas of Derry/Londonderry

POSITIONS AVILABLE: Mornings 7am-2pm, Afternoons 2pm-7pm and Nights 7pm-11pm

VERY COMPETITIVE WAGES!

RATE OF PAY:

Monday-Friday for Morning/Lunch and Afternoon (Tea) runs: £11.60 PER HOUR

Monday-Friday Bed (Night) runs and Saturday/Sunday (all runs): £12.15 PER HOUR

PLUS Mileage at 30p Per Mile ( temporary rate under review)

Job Duties:
As a Domiciliary Carer, you will work as part of a team to provide personal and domestic care to adults at risk including the frail, elderly and those with mental and physical health issues in their own homes.

Qualifications/ Experience:

Essential:

· A full valid driving licence and access to transport for work purposes.

· Good written and oral communication.

· Work as part of a team.

· Understanding of health and safety in the workplace. Able to promote and deliver personal care.

· Able to promote dignity and respect in care delivery.

· Carers must be flexible and able to cover additional hours when necessary.

Desirable:

· 6 months experience in formal care setting.

· NVQ level 2 in care or equivalent.

· NISCC registered or willing to undertake if successful.

· Knowledge of domiciliary care minimum standards.

Successful applicants must be willing to carry out Access NI check. Having a criminal conviction will not necessarily prohibit you from working with Strabane & District Caring Services. This will depend on the information provided and obtained from disclosure certificate, as well as the position applied for.
