2x Domestic Violence Support Workers (refuge) (Female*), Leeds. Full-time
Salary £25,680 per annum

When individuals and families leave their home in fear of domestic violence and abuse they usually leave their belongings, friends and families and have suffered trauma. Leeds Women’s Aid (LWA) is the largest women’s charitable organisation in Leeds and provides services for victims of domestic violence and abuse, honour-based violence, forced marriage, trafficking, stalking and harassment and is the lead agency for two consortiums, Leeds Domestic Violence Service and Women’s Lives Leeds.
LWA are looking Domestic Violence Support Workers (refuge) to support individuals and families in refuges and safe houses in Leeds.
The successful candidates will be expected to work collaboratively to attain the best outcomes for our service users.
You will need:
Experience of providing structured support to Vulnerable adults
An understanding of Domestic Violence and Abuse and the impact on individuals and families
Values consistent with those of LWA and a commitment to diversity and inclusion
The closing date is 9.00 am on Tuesday 29th August 2023; interviews will be held on Wed 6th Sept and Friday 8th Sept
