The Guinness Partnership is a charitable organisation that specialise in care services for older people and adults with learning disabilities. We want to provide great person-centred services to enable our customers to live positive, independent lives.
We are recruiting for Domestic to provide an efficient 16 hours of cleaning services at our Housing for Older People Scheme at Pickmere in Crewe. Working 4 days over Monday to Friday and the working are negotiable and can be discussed at interview stage.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure that all areas within the building are clean and tidy.
- Communal areas, toilets and kitchen areas are maintained to a high standard.
- Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and ensure they are stored securely according to COSHH guidelines.
- Report minor repairs to management.
- Wash paintwork and clean windows and doors as required.
- Be aware of and follow Guinness Care policies and procedures, with particular attention to standards of customer service, health and safety, and equality and diversity.
The successful applicant will have:
- A sensitive and supportive approach to vulnerable people maintaining their dignity and self-respect at all times.
- Able to follow clear instructions.
- Experience of cleaning.
- Able to climb stairs whilst manoeuvring cleaning equipment, (hoover and cleaning caddy).
Desirable skills and experience:
- Experience of cleaning.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and COSHH guidelines
- Understanding of the needs of particular client group’s e.g. the elderly.
