These are fixed term posts of 6 months.
Various shift options available. (Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.
There are 1 37.5 hours post and 4 x 20 hours post.
37.5 hour post shift pattern is 11pm-07am (5 over 7)
2 x 20 hours posts, shift pattern is 2pm-6pm (5 over 7)
2 x 20 hours posts, shift pattern is 6pm-10pm (5 over 7)
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Use of correct cleaning agents in economical manner for the purpose intended at the recommended strength.
- Care and use of mechanical cleaning equipment, vacuum cleaners, scrubber/polishers.
- Observe safe working methods as shown in training.
- Wear protective clothing as supplied by the Department, uniforms and rubber gloves.
- Disposal of waste in accordance with Acute Services Division Policy.
- Reporting of faults within work area or untoward incidents to Supervisor.
- Secure work areas as tasks are completed.
- Carry out any other duties requested by Supervisor / Manager as required.
- Carry out work as efficiently and quietly as possible within the defined area.
- Presentation of smart, tidy appearance and execution of duties in a professional manner.
- Empty and change all black bag waste
- Empty and change all clinical waste bags.
- Changing of all window curtains, blinds, bed screens and portable screens.
- Load and using Regeneration trolley
- Monitoring of all fridge temperatures.
- Monitoring all Food temperatures.
- Serving meals to nurses( who then give to patients)
- Making of all beverages and distribution to patients.
- Setting of dining tray for all meals
- Loading all crockery and cutlery in dishwashers.
- Empty and clean food regeneration machine.
- Empty and refill water jugs with ice and water.
- Follow checklist instructions daily.
