Candidate Brief
August 2023
Welcome
Our work is all about supporting individuals who have experienced, or are experiencing domestic abuse. We understand the power that simply believing, and offering a non-judgmental, trauma-informed response, can have. We all work together in the shared belief that every single person has the right to live their life free from domestic abuse and our practitioners work tirelessly to support and advocate for our clients to help them achieve this.
We have a brilliant team of people, currently providing amazing, life-saving services and we’re looking for the right people to come and join them.
If this role sounds like it’s the right challenge for you, don’t hesitate to get in touch
Purpose of the role
You will be responsible for providing high quality specialist front-line domestic abuse support to people living in the areas we cover, working with colleagues and other statutory and voluntary agencies to assist our clients to access services, to support and help keep them safe, and to rebuild their lives.
You will also be responsible for helping to develop good working partnerships and relationships with other voluntary and statutory agencies, as well as local and national specialist agencies working within the local community. We look to all our practitioners to work with those agencies to increase staff awareness and to increase confidence, skills and knowledge in relation to domestic abuse.
This is a great opportunity for individuals who are committed to helping survivors to break the cycle of domestic abuse and support their recovery.
