Full Time (37hrs) Domestic Abuse Practitioner (Grade 7) – South Ribble – Fixed Term till September 2024
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Children and Family Wellbeing Service within a specialist role for any experienced support worker who has knowledge and an interest of working 1:1 and with families providing Family Intensive Support where Domestic Abuse is identified.
Domestic Abuse Practitioners are specialist operational frontline delivery staff in our 'Family Intensive Support' (FIS) team and will work with Family Support Workers providing specialist support to survivors, and perpetrators of domestic abuse and those in crisis, to support them to be able to live safely and free from violence and abuse.
The successful candidate will work with children, young people, and their families, using a whole family approach and where appropriate identify and implementing evidenced based therapeutic approaches, which will facilitate the repair of family relationships. As part of the FIS team the postholder will deliver and signpost to evidenced based programmes such as Freedom, Freedom for Children, DASH Safe Lives, Perpetrator programmes, Escape the Trap and RYPP Respect programme.
Flexible working is required, and some evening, early mornings and weekend delivery may be required to meet the needs of families.
