Job description
An exciting opportunity for a doggy day care assistant apprentice to join a fun and friendly team situated on a farm with acres of farmland and lots of enclosed safe space for the dogs.
Duties will include but not limited to;
- welcoming dogs to the day care
- supervising groups of dogs
- cleaning
- ensuring a safe environment for the dogs
- maintaining the welfare of the dogs at all times
- dealing with any issues that may arise
- communicating with customers
You will work as part of a small dedicated team, who are passionate about working with dogs.

- Ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team
Desired Qualification
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and maths is desired
- Applicants must not already hold a Level 2 or 3 in Animal Care to be eligible
Future Prospects
- Dog Trainer or Dog Day care supervisor
Training
- Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
- The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Animal Care & Welfare Apprenticeship Standard.
- The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
- The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship

- The apprentice will be working to build a portfolio of evidence and will be required to pass a knowledge test and an End Point Assessment (EPA) to complete the apprenticeship.
