Pawsome Pet Care is an independent, fully insured pet sitting and dog walking business that has significantly grown since opening due to the excellent care we provide our furry friends. As a result, we are looking for self-employed or part-time employed candidates that specialise in pet sitting and dog walking services to join our team in the North London region including but not limited to areas N1, N4, N8, N15, N16, N17, NW3.
Pawsome Pet Care comes from a veterinary background and specialises in being able to provide medical care to pets as well as company and dog walking services.
Offering an attractive salary of between £13.50-£16.00 per visit, this is a fantastic opportunity to take on extra shifts that work with your schedule and join a business dedicated to offering outstanding animal care.
The Role:
You will play a key role in ensuring our clients pets welfare needs are met in their abscene.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Giving medication if required. This will include subcutaneous injections, pill medication or topical treatment. Therefore, a veterinary background would be preferable.
- Ensure pets have fresh food, water and clean litter trays.
- If the pets are exotic, you are required to ensure their environmental needs are met such as ensure heating or humidifying equipment is working by checking at each visit. If not, owners must be informed to arrange a replacement.
- Work with our clients pet preferences when it comes to play time and affection.
- Dog walking
- Meet and greets with clients to go through pets routine.
- Key collection from clients and the safe return of keys.
- Looking out for any signs of illness or injuries of our clients pets whilst at your visits and to seek veterinary treatment if required (with owners consent).
- If clients have run out of stock during your visit such as the pets medication, food or litter, you must be available to replace these items once you have received owners consent and keep receipts for owners to reimburse you.
- Driving is not essential, however, you must be open to using public transport or cycling to get to locations.
- Preferably be open to performing day stays or overnight visits with pets.

- Have you experience working in a veterinary environment such as a veterinary nurse, student veterinary nurse or patient care assistant?
- Have you experience giving subcutaneous injections, pill medication or topical treatments?
- Have you any qualifications or experience in being able to identify signs of illness or injuries in pets?
- Have you any experience working with exotic species such as reptiles, fish or small furries?
- What qualifications in animal care do you have?
- Are you DBS checked?
- Candidates must be open to evening and overnight visits. Would you be open to this?
