Do you have a passion for pets? Little Paws is looking for a reliable, trustworthy and enthusiastic individual to join our team!
As a Dog Walker and Pet Sitter for Little Paws, your day will mostly be dog walking and pet visits (this could be dogs, cats, or small animals). Our most popular service is our group dog walks, where you will be responsible for up to 6 dogs at a time (If and when comfortable).
This position is a part-time, self employed role.
The chosen person will be given the correct training, and hours will increase the longer you work for us, whilst we build up your client base. Because of this, commitment to the role is key.
Responsibilities of the job:
- Picking up and dropping off dogs to their home
- Being comfortable walking dogs (solo or small groups) by yourself in all weathers
- Meeting potential new clients with their pets to help grow our clientele
- Being responsible for your assigned clients keys and ensuring their home is left secure after each service
- Updating clients on their pets services, keeping a good connection between us and the customer
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Must have a full, clean driving license
- Must have access to your own vehicle
- Physically fit to be outside walking dogs for at least a few hours per day, in all weathers!
- Must be DBS checked or be happy to apply for one
- Be qualified in Canine First Aid (Not essential but preferred - can get you trained once you start if not!)
- Previous dog walking/animal experience is preferred
- A qualification in an animal related course is preferred but not essential
- Having a smartphone will be an advantage to keep in contact with us and your clients
- Approachable/ Friendly attitude. Although your job will mostly be around pets, this would be beneficial when meeting new clients
