About us:

We are a small independent business in Lichfield offering dog walking & pet care services. We have been running for 3 years.

We aim to provide fun, controlled exercise to the dogs of Lichfield.

Within this company you can expect to work outside in the fresh air Flexible hours to start then full time.
Build your own client base & get to know each individual animal personally.

We are looking for a self employed Dog Walker to join our friendly team, who is comfortable walking a variety of breeds, can handle multiple dogs at once, and is passionate about animals. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience with dog walking or willing to learn. good communication skills, an understanding of basic dog psychology, and a love for all types of animals.

To be successful in this role, you’ll generally need the following skills and qualities:

  • Compassion:You must always treat the dogs you walk with care, kindness, and respect.
  • Patience: This is key to working with animals—especially when you're first becoming familiar with each other.
  • Customer-service skills:You must keep your clients satisfied if you want them to book you for recurring walks.
  • Reliability: Clients must be able to count on you to show up on time for walks.

Physical strength and stamina: You must be able to handle larger dogs if needed, and keep control of a leash if a dog pulls. You must also be able to be on your feet and walk for at least 60 minutes at a time.

- Full training will be provided before working alone. This will be a self employed role. This will start as part time whilst training is provided then progress into full time. The right candidate must also be available to work over nights pet sitting when needed, this will be busier during summer holidays & less frequent on off peak terms.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temp to perm, Freelance
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 14 per week

Salary: From £10.00 per hour
