Job description
Due to high demand for our services,Wags of Worcester are recruiting for a skilled and experienced Pet Groomer to help with our grooming schedule. An ideal candidate is responsible, hardworking, and detail-oriented and has excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, be able to work on his/her own and be able to meet deadlines.
We are looking for an experienced dog groomer who loves dogs, is a great team player with excellent communication and organisational skills. You will be working with a fun but serious team in our Worcester based Salon. If you are interested please include a cover letter with the amount of dogs that you feel comfortable grooming from start to finish in an 8 hour day as well as your years of experience. Ideally we are looking for a full time person but for the right candidate we will consider part time.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure animals are protected from disease while they are in your care.
- Learn new grooming techniques and regularly update your skills.
- Have a basic understanding of anatomy and physiology.
- Be able to transport large dogs safely.
- Keep detailed records of clients' pets.
Reporting to the Salon Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of pet grooming, and you'll deliver the very highest standard of pet grooming. You will exceed our customers' expectations by providing Pawsitively Outrageous Service within the salon. Your excellent communication skills will be fully utilised as you deal with customers and their pets daily. You will ensure excellent salon presentation is maintained, and high standards are kept through cleanliness, safety, and good housekeeping standards. As Dog Groomer, you will assist with the training and development of other salon colleagues.
