The role of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Officer will be a key position within the Security Incident team.
The purpose of the role is to initially triage events generated by the data loss prevention (DLP) system, and to ensure that events are directed via the correct channel and actioned appropriately. To take event data from multiple DLP platforms (technologies), analyse the event data, and any corresponding information to understand the implications or impact to Vodafone, to improve awareness and to complete investigations, where required.
In addition, the role will assist the Security Incident Manager to deliver our strategy and objectives and be a key contact within the function to assist Vodafone in managing data loss prevention.
What you'll do
To investigate alerts generated by DLP (data loss prevention) tool, identifying data breaches and advising the business on remedial action and process improvement during and immediately after any investigation where there is data loss.
To help develop the DLP tool capability to minimise data loss in an ever changing landscape.
To work with the relevant business functions to reduce the risk of data loss through improved awareness.
Who you are

Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and ability to develop relationships and positively influence key internal and external stakeholders.
Drive to achieve results and demonstrable track record of problem solving through analysis.
Analysis experience and capability to enquire into incidents quickly and efficiently establish key elements of complex issues.
