Position Summary/Scope of Responsibility:
The Distribution Manager will focus on all areas of management that directly correlate to providing exceptional and efficient behind the scenes: at their specific Burke Williams location. This would include facilitating communication, support staff evaluations, focusing on staff retention and recognition, increasing morale, and providing ongoing development focused on elevating the quality of customer service at our spas. In addition, the Distribution Manager is responsible for ensuring that all maintenance and sanitation protocols and standards are maintained throughout the facility. The Distribution Manager must also lead by example and encourage the standards of ACT/pride and graciousness.
Structure:
The Distribution Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager and their prospective General Manager. They will work alongside their perspective locations core management team to achieve the goals and vision for the spa facility.
Primary Job Duties/Expectations:
-Represent and maintain distribution and sanitation standards. As well as upholding and maintaining all service standards and protocols as taught in the Burke Williams Training Center.
-Lead support staff meetings.
-Address and successfully follow up with support staff based on guest feedback via web site feedback, facility surveys, Guest Services, comment cards, and discount details, etc.
-Develop and implement communication systems for support staff to give immediate guest feedback to management.
-Perform annual evaluations. When applicable, create performance plan, including follow up training plan and check in points.
-Maintain thorough understanding of all policies, procedures and guidelines for Burke Williams support staff.
-Implement and encourage ongoing staff recognition.
-Successful integration and onboarding on new hired team members.
-Ensure a positive and professional cooperative team environment that promotes trust, integrity, and superior performance that protects Burke Williams’ interests as Employer of Choice for all employees.
-Demonstrate integrity, honesty and knowledge to promote company culture, values and mission both in the work environment and at all employer events.
Position Requirements:
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook
-Basic knowledge of FTS and its report functions
-Ability to understand budgets, sales, training and scheduling and time management impact
-Proficient writing skills, ability to convey written text with eloquence and proper diction.
-Exceptional organizational skills, and systems management/implementation.
Ideal candidate demonstrates high degree of professionalism and etiquette in communication, attitude, and teamwork with guests, peers, and management team.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Track all deliveries for location.
- Track all inventory, purchase orders.
- Supervise inventory budget.
- Oversee support staff team of: laundry attendants, spa attendants, cleaning crew.
- Schedule support staff hours to maximize efficiencies.
- Communicate with corporate to schedule regular maintenance.
- Room assignments for all spa technicians.
- Oversee preparation of daily material kits for spa technicians.
- Train staff on new procedures and protocols.
- Coordinate logistics for any new spa treatments as it relates to product and distribution of materials.
- Oversee sanitation for entire spa.
- Work w/corporate warehouse team to ensure proper inventory/deliverables arrive in timely fashion.
- Coordinate with core managers for monthly walk-throughs and facility maintenance.
- Bilingual experience preferred.
- Must be proficient in FTS spa software.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language; Must be able to fluently communicate in English
- Work flexible hours which include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures including, but not limited to, reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
- Be focused, energetic, and have strong attention to detail
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional
- Previous experience in the hospitality or spa industries is preferred
- Management experience preferred
