Salary: £38k - £44k + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

A development role for delivering and approving Electrical Network Design work up to 11kV including housing developments and industrial & commercial sites in line with applicable standards, Company Policies, including legal and regulatory obligations.
The role includes designing the electricity infrastructure for projects throughout Great Britain, working towards being able to deliver both high-quality concept and detailed design to our internal and external clients.
The successful candidate will work with design mentors, clients, business development managers, contractors, project leaders, construction partners (ICPs) and adopting authorities (DNOs) to deliver safe, effective and innovative designs. This will be achieved through a combination of mentoring, live work and study.
- Plan, carry out designs and approve as per the above up to 11kV, including network automation via SCADA.
- Ensure Designs are fit for purpose and comply with all relevant regulations and working instructions.
- Responsible for your own development and keeping updated knowledge of the relevant engineering and design standards to ensure existing and new build assets comply with engineering legislation, design codes and standards
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- At least started or hold an HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
- Knowledge and/or experience of working within the Utilities design environment.
- Knowledge and/or experience with engineering legislation and industry good practice.
- An awareness of the UK electricity infrastructure business.
