We have an exciting opportunity to work in a new Lake District distillery and be a part of an important story in English distilling
All training will be given, with no experience necessary. For those interested we will sponsor you to undertake a General Certificate in Distilling.

These are some of the things that you can be expected to do over the course of the day. This is to give you a snapshot of the breadth of the job.
● Mashing malted barley in our state-of-the-art brewhouse to create whisky wash.
● Distilling wash to low wines and then onto new make spirit.
● Manage and measure fermentations.
● Setting up pipework and pumps to charge stills for distillation.
● Filling and moving casks
● Cleanliness and upkeep of the bonded areas.
● Uploading of the days production data to the distillery logs (offline and online).
● Great organization and record keeping with attention to detail is essential.
● Adherence to Health and Safety and HMRC guidelines at all times.
Must have the ability to:
● Learn new skills. The distillery will develop over time, new working practices will be added often
● Work with our diverse team to make a product you can be proud of.
● Proper handling of chemicals while wearing appropriate PPE is a necessary part of this job.
● Be a part of NPD for the distillery.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to £25,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift

- Grange-over-Sands, LA11 7LS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
