We are seeking a Paralegal to join our highly regarded Disputes & Risk practice in any of our UK offices. This role will operate across our Disputes & Risk practice, working on a range of matters within Commercial and Regulatory Disputes, with the willingness to provide support to the wider team when needed.
The practice has seen significant growth over the last 5 years and the role will provide a varied workload across the market's most important and innovative matters.
The work
Our disputes resolution activity remains highly international, whether through cross-border arbitration, complex international enforcement, or other activities. Our specialist litigation, arbitration, regulatory and investigations lawyers across our international network provide expert representation on the full range of business disputes.

The team
The Disputes & Risk division is led nationally by Tier 1 Chambers ranked partner Catherine Wolfenden. The team has 38 other partners - specialising in a wide range of disputes and arbitration matters.
There is a very collegiate atmosphere in the team and team members are encouraged to work together and take responsibility for business development ideas and client care.
Role & Responsibilities
The Disputes & Risk paralegal role is varied, working across all our specialist areas through the lifecycle of our matters. Examples of responsibilities include:
- Legal research
- Drafting, preparing and proofreading legal documents
- Taking attendance notes
- Court filing (in person and e-filing)
- Document review
- Supporting Matter Managers with coordination and administration, including:
- Updating key actions and deadlines
- Document management
- Physical and electronic bundling
- Monitoring WIP against fee estimates
- Managing complex billing arrangements
Technical skills and experience
Due to the technical nature of the practice, you will have worked within a recognised and respected Litigation team in a similar role. You will have an interest in building your knowledge in a range of contentious areas and a willingness to learn.
We are looking for somebody who enjoys variety, has a client-oriented approach and has a flair for solving problems. Good oral and written communication skills is essential.
As a guide, due to the nature of the work and the structure of the team, we are looking to appoint a Paralegal in this area, although we will consider candidates with more or less experience.
