IPS Pharma is an independent international pharmaceutical services company operating in three main areas: Unlicensed medicines (Unlicensed Imports and Specials), Clinical Trials and Special Obtains.
We are seeking to recruit a Dispensing Assistant (Controlled Drugs), to coordinate & manage end to end the receipt, processing and dispatch of prescriptions for controlled drugs.
Some of the responsibilities for the role will include:
- Receiving prescriptions e.g. via email; log, and dispense
- Maintaining sufficient stock levels in the dispensary, including stock transfers
- Setting up of new product codes
- Maintaining/producing management reports on prescription activity
- Maintaining process protocols
- Monitoring shelf life of stock held on site
- Carrying out administrative tasks relating to Import/Export of CBM’s
- Directing requests and unresolved issues to the designated person
- Keeping records of customer interactions and transactions
- Recording details of enquiries, comments and complaints and actions taken
- Communicating and coordinating with internal departments
The applicant should have a minimum of 2 years experience of working in a pharmacy. Experience of interacting with patients and working as a member of a team as well as being able to manage yourself in a proactive way. It is important to the role to have strong communication skills both written and oral to communicate effectively at all levels, and be a team player.
Education/Skills: NVQ 3 Pharmacy Dispensing, ACT qualification desirable, GCSE or equivalent level, Numerate (GCSE maths), IT literate, strong knowledge of M/S Office, experience of SAP an advantage, accurate keyboard skills. Organised person who is able to prioritize their workload
