Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS trust is a large acute hospital trust in the South East of England operating from two main sites. This post is dispensary based focusing on all aspects of dispensing for in patients and outpatients. You will have the opportunity to work on a patient facing level when covering at the Pharmacy Hatch taking in and giving out medication.
Pharmacy Services at Tunbridge Wells are modern and proactive and are highly regarded in the Trust. The Pharmacy is in a modern purpose-built department complete with fully automated dispensary and excellent training facilities.

Have you ever considered a career in Pharmacy or would you like to expand your current dispensing skills across a wider range of medication?
We are looking for a dispensing assistant to join our experienced team of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants.
If you are currently community based you will have all the essential knowledge regarding dispensing that is required in hospital pharmacy. No matter what your background is; in this post you will gain experience and training in dispensing and working in a pharmacy including TPN and other hospital-based products.
We are looking for an ambitious and motivated person who is looking forward to communicating with the wider healthcare team. Who has good interpersonal and organisational skills.

Please note this post includes a weekend working commitment as per a rota of 1 in 6 weeks (6.5 hours on Saturday and 5.5 hours on Sunday) and a rota on the lock up team of 1 day a week.
You will receive full training, including NVQ level 2 in pharmacy services and gain experience of dispensing medication across a variety of specialties.
