Job Outline:

We’re seeking an ambitious Sales Director (home based in the UK) to join our team and drive our sales strategy as we continue to grow and expand our operations.

We’re growing fast, with treble digit revenue growth and have just completed a major Series A funding round with a highly respected American investment fund, Peaks Span.

As the most senior sales and revenue leader in this business, you’ll be excited at the opportunity of working with an experienced and ambitious team of SaaS leaders. You’ll be experienced and capable of handling rapid growth, evolving priorities, and comfortable with ambiguity and able to navigate through uncertainty. You’ll be excited by tech and have a passion to grow.

Job Overview

Over the next two years, we have ambitions to grow ARR from £5m to £20m with an exciting product roadmap focused on automation, AI and people-engagement. We have a highly referenceable customer base of globally recognised brands and hyper-growth e-commerce and e-retail clients.

Key Responsibilities

Through the following responsibilities, ultimately you will be responsible for building and maintaining a healthy new business sales and growth pipeline (3x for the quarter and 5x overall) and delivering the new business and growth ARR targets each and every quarter. To help achieve this, we’ll expect you to:

  • Build, implement and continuously evolve the EvaluAgent GTM Playbook (Product / Market / Competitive Training; Objection handling; Sales plays & workflows; prospecting methodology; metrics and KPIs; Weekly, Quarterly Cadence, etc.)
  • At each stage of our journey, define the ideal Account Exec, Account Manager, BDR ideal profiles. With support from the People Team, you’ll then lead the ongoing recruitment of experienced, hungry and ambitious “hunters” and “farmers” that meet those ideal profiles.
  • Work with the senior leadership team (SLT) to define and evolve revenue forecasts, targets, quotas, commission plans and capacity plans for new business sales and account up-sell / cross-sell.
  • Build and further develop our strategy in relation to channel program management, partner business development and incentives
  • Collaborate with the Director of Customer Success to build and implement effective sales to CS hand-off workflows, systems and policies to ensure that newly won clients are effectively onboarded with zero pain.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and customer success to implement and embed your playbook, frameworks and commercial models and ensure everyone in the business is aligned to supporting the achievement of our revenue goals.
  • Train, mentor, coach and performance manage your team to rigorously follow the correct processes and deliver a repeatable, predictable sales process that delivers the required outcomes and revenue goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, sales techniques, and emerging trends to drive innovation and improve sales effectiveness.
  • Ability and willingness for occasional International travel, predominantly within the US

About You:

  • 3+ years in a senior sales leadership role and a proven CV which includes managing teams of AEs, AMs, BDRs and Sales Engineers.
  • Experience of selling SaaS B2B software in a fast-growth, equity-funded scale-up - Cultural fit is important, and business like ours are very different to more established enterprise-sales organisations. If this statement doesn’t resonate, you won’t fit in
  • Demonstrable experience in all aspects of GTM planning and strategy, ideally bringing a proven methodology that you passionately believe in. You’ll need to be able to talk confidently and demonstrate your experience of executing successful sales strategies, setting ambitious goals, creating actionable plans, and then executing those plans to deliver revenue growth
  • Worked in a business that sells through the channel, with proven experience of channel program management, partner business development and incentives
  • Ability to navigate and cope with ambiguity and uncertainty and to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and rapidly growing team and demonstrate experience of working at home and managing a team remotely is essential – it’s not for everyone!
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and influence other members of the leadership team.
  • Skilled in building and nurturing relationships with investors, key customers, and partners.
  • Ability to build internal relationships and collaborate effectively with sales operations, marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure a cohesive and aligned approach to achieving sales objectives.
  • Adept at delivering compelling presentations in a concise and persuasive manner.
  • An understanding and experience of contact centre operations would be a distinct advantage but isn’t essential.
  • It almost goes without saying, but you need to embrace the use of tech and be highly proficient in utilizing customer relationship management (CRM) systems and online prospecting and sales tools to manage and track sales activities, leads, opportunities, and customer interactions. Experience with HubSpot would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse sales data, identify trends, and extract actionable insights. Experience in generating accurate sales forecasts, reports, and performance dashboards to provide visibility into team performance and inform decision-making.
