Job description
Reporting to the Associate Pro Vice Chancellor Students, in this strategically significant new role for the university, you will be lead and shape the future of the University’s Student Welfare and Student Experience teams in order that they deliver effective, efficient and adaptive services that meet the changing needs of a diverse student body. With responsibility for disability, wellbeing, counselling and student advice services, you will ensure all appropriate systems and processes are in place to provide for the effective safeguarding of students, as well as promoting the wellbeing of students across the university and delivering strategic initiatives, such as the university’s adoption of the sector Mental Health Charter.
To apply, you will be able to demonstrate significant and successful experience of leading university student services, including mental health and counselling and disability services, with comprehensive knowledge of the higher education policy and regulatory environment as it relates to the role. You will also have experience of developing university approaches to safeguard students and of managing student incidents, with evidence of successfully leading change and enhancement to support student experience improvements also essential.
