DIRECTOR of OPERATIONS

Scottish Drugs Forum (SDF) is Scotland’s national resource of expertise on drugs and drug-related issues. A membership-based registered charity, which works towards the reduction of drug related harm in Scotland through a range of varied programmes of work.

SDF is seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Director of Operations to provide leadership and direction to SDF’s programme managers and ensure the efficient, effective and quality delivery of our work programmes. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator, problem-solver, and leader with a proven track record of success in operations management.

Key strategic responsibilities are:

a) to support the Board and CEO to deliver the strategic objectives in the Strategic Plan and work with the CEO and staff to develop ongoing and future strategy;

b) to develop SDF’s annual business plan and work with the CEO to ensure effective delivery;

c) to ensure delivery of programmes of work that are effective and consistent with the aims of the organisation;

d) to represent SDF through effective participation in appropriate groups, networks, policy consultations and other initiatives which further the strategic aims of the organisation;

e) to ensure SDF maintains good links with partners nationally.
