This role can be based remotely in England or the European Union with preference in Italy or France. Candidate must have work authorization to live and work within England or the European Union.
JOB OVERVIEW
This is a new position for Auberge Resorts. This home office role will lead the marketing communications efforts for the entire brand in Europe and provide marketing guidance, support and execution for a group of high-end Auberge properties in Europe. The initial properties of focus will be: Domaine des Etangs in France and Collegio alla Querce in Florence. The role will be integral to the success of the entire brand and these properties in elevating the marketing capabilities and driving increased awareness, greater occupancy, higher average daily rates (ADRs) and additional ancillary revenues in food & beverage, spa and other activities among guests and local patrons.
This individual will work closely with supporting the Area Director of Sales & Marketing (ADOSM) for the two properties located in Rome and our Global Sales Office, Director for Europe located in London. This new role will help to develop the marketing strategies and implement efforts around public relations, social media, digital, ecommerce, customer relationship marketing, sales marketing and collateral development for these properties. The person will assist the ADOSM in writing annual marketing plans. The person will be our expert in marketing in the region and will need to flex to the various needs of the business as we take a very entrepreneurial, team approach to working together and delivering results.
This role will need to understand brand positioning and brand building as we look at each property as being its own brand. The individual will need to be able to clearly articulate the positioning of the brand and properties and ensure that the communications they create align with the positionings. They will help to develop marketing efforts across all channels including website, digital marketing, public relations, social media, email marketing and sales collateral. They will also identify and help implement relevant partnerships, sponsorships and unique one-of-a-kind experiences working with the local property teams. The role will also work with our Home Office discipline experts in communications, digital, revenue and sales.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AND ATTITUDES
10 to 15+ years in marketing roles including experience in the luxury brand categories. Experience in hospitality is not required.
Is driven, innovative and passionate about the craft of marketing. Has a curious mind, is a strong multi-tasker who finds opportunities and creates solutions, where others find problems. Someone who is entrepreneurial, “rolls-up their sleeves” to get it done and inspires others with their vision and acumen
Has a strong understanding of the style, design and nuance of luxury that is required to create a distinctive brand for each property.
Is collaborative, works well in a matrixed team environment and has strong influencing skills
Demonstrated success in building brands and delivering results (ideally some experience with smaller independent brands)
