Director of Human Resources and Operations
· Permanent
· Salary £85,00 per annum (pro-rata)
· 22.5 - 30 hours/ 3-4 days a week (0.6-0.8 FTE)

About the role
Centre for Ageing Better has grown considerably over the last few years and we require a strategicDirector of Human Resources and Operations who will continue to support our people across every part of our organisation to help them deliver our 2022 – 2025 strategy and support the organisation through any changes beyond then.
Reporting to the CEO and as a member of the small Senior Executive Team, you will contribute to the corporate leadership of Ageing Better and continue to develop and manage the People function, supporting employees across the business and developing their contribution to the culture through effective HR practice. You will review and build on the existing People Plan to guarantee that it can support the overall organisation’s strategy, whilst working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders.
You will ensure the organisation is managed robustly from a cyber security, GDPR and health and safety perspective and all risks are mitigated as far as possible.
You will contribute to sustaining the kind, collaborative and inclusive culture at Ageing Better while ensuring that all staff are equipped to focus on achieving the best possible impact from their activities.
About you
The successful candidate will have an extensive working knowledge of Employment Law, relevant legislation, and best practice with experience in advising managers on complex HR Issues. You will have developed policies and processes, coached and trained managers in a variety of HR and operational topics, and have experience in advising and supporting an organisation through change. You will have a CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent.
You will be able to demonstrate experience in managing all aspects of office operations with the knowledge and understanding of the risks involved and how to prevent and mitigate them.
You will have excellent communication skills and can work collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders at Board level and operate collaboratively as part of the leadership team.
