SALARY: £119,801 to £151,247pa dependant on experience plus £8,000 car allowance
JOB LOCATION: Flexible - regular travel to More London Place

To ensure we meet these challenges, we’re looking to appoint a Director of Housing with significant senior strategic management experience to lead a team of some 1,200 trusted, high performing professional colleagues in their delivery of good quality, core front-line housing management and neighbourhood services to our 360,000 customers.
What you’ll do
Reporting to our Chief Customer Officer, you’ll be responsible for driving a customer centric performance culture that strives for excellence and continuous improvement, whilst ensuring the continued provision of well managed and maintained, vibrant and thriving communities.
We’ll look to you to provide expert housing and resident engagement advice to the operational parts of the Group and assurance to the Housing Association Board and Group Board. You’ll be required to provide regular reports to the Group Executive on the progress made and improvements delivered via the Customer Strategy.
Other responsibilities include
- Engagement with key stakeholder partners to promote social, environmental and economic wellbeing across Clarion’s neighbourhoods and communities and for advocating on behalf of our residents.
- Ensure our people are recruited with the right values and behaviours to deliver excellent customer service
- Promote resident wellbeing by ensuring colleagues are professionally curious, have the right attitudes and behaviours, and ensure a welfare-first approach to managing tenancies.
- Lead on resident and key stakeholder communications at a neighbourhood level, and understand the diverse needs and demographics of our residents to ensure additional support is provided and services shaped accordingly
- Keep under review Clarion’s Resident Engagement Strategy and Core Housing and Landlord services
- Promote resident involvement across the Group.
- Produce and publicise the Group’s Annual Resident Impact report, and the Residents’ Annual Report
What we’re looking for
You’ll be a member of CIH and be qualified to degree level in Housing or hold equivalent, relevant experience, with a dynamic and passionate approach to customer service and the Social Housing sector.
You’ll come with a strong strategic and operational background with best in class Housing and Customer service expertise and demonstrable experience of designing core landlord services to deliver exceptional customer journeys.
We’re seeking a leader who can both plan and implement complex transformational programmes and has excellent collaboration and partnership skills to engage and effectively influence a wide variety of stakeholders.
