Our marketing team is charged with an important task – sharing our Staples story. We use customer data and analytics to help us understand and improve our customers’ experiences, drive customer retention, and encourage brand loyalty. Our team is diverse, with skillsets and responsibilities ranging from graphic design, content creation and performance marketing to loyalty & rewards programs. We work together to provide expertise and guidance, so that the Staples brand is well represented in all areas.
What you’ll be doing:
- Review current use of the Marketo email platform and build a plan to utilize its full capabilities with the purpose of building a best-in-class Sales and Marketing go to market technology stack
- Provide leadership in campaign performance management. Generate, distribute and analyze all operational reports for improvements in operational deployments, targeting or all other matters related to all targeted campaigns across Staples, Inc.
- Shape the vision for future of Email by evangelizing the process of continuous improvement, how it impacts a stakeholder group and how it transforms the way we go to market in a customer-centric way
- Lead the campaign sizing, targeted channel mix and related activities during the campaign planning phase in collaboration with campaign owners
- Develop and present new test ideas/recommendations and executional plan for optimizing targeted campaigns to drive business growth and customer file health
- Establish and monitor KPIs of all email campaigns and actively adjust the test roadmap to improve overall KPIs
- Lead a team of 12 individuals including 3 direct reports
What you bring to the table:
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while flexibly adapting to the business’ changing needs
- Aptitude to effectively interact with stakeholders, including executive leadership
- Proven ability to structure projects and independently lead email marketing programs, developing their strategies, creating tactical plans, managing budgets and reporting results
- Experience in personalization to deliver the right message to the right customers at the right time
- Strong ability to effectively work cross functionally within a large organization and with external partners; Must be able to manage, motivate and grow a team of marketing specialists and experts
- Demonstrated analytical skills- ability to quickly derive insights from research and analysis
- Strong Team Management and superior Project Management skills with ability to adjust priorities in a fast-moving business environment
- Experience proactively managing and coordinating multiple projects across internal teams, balancing strategy with tactical execution
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills (ability to influence as well as collaborate) and detail orientation
Qualifications :
10+ years of experience in email marketing campaigns including personalization serving both B2B and B2C customers
Demonstrated proficiency in Email automation platforms for both B2C and B2B customers
Experience directly managing managers and individual contributors
What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a marketing or business, or work experience that demonstrates comparable abilities
