CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER (CMO)
VCS is a rapidly growing software technology corporation looking for a passionate and experienced CMO to join our executive team. In this position, you will report directly to the CEO and manage the VCS marketing team. Major duties include the management of all marketing operations, assessing and improving existing initiatives and processes and devising new strategies to drive business.
The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills to lead and manage the marketing team along with a vast knowledge and experience in marketing trends to continue to evolve the VCS brand.
Responsibilities:
- Creating, implementing, and overseeing the execution of all marketing plans and campaigns.
- Creating compelling narratives around individual products and services to help clients and prospects understand VCS features and benefits.
- Improving company growth by expanding reach into new markets.
- Liaising with sales and external marketing partners to align objectives.
- Growing and developing the in-house marketing team.
- Building a network of reliable external agencies and marketing professionals.
- Conducting market research and staying abreast of competitor positioning.
- Contributing to new business initiatives.
- Expertly utilizes social media to increase presence in all platforms.
- Expertly utilizes SEO and PPC to increase brand awareness.
- Budget management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field.
- A Master’s degree in marketing or a related field or an MBA may be highly desirable.
- More than 8 years’ proven experience in a marketing manager or business development role.
- Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
- Creative and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Exceptional knowledge of marketing techniques and platforms.
- Significant product marketing experience in developing strategic product marketing campaigns.
- Deep understanding of market trends and product lifecycles.
