We are looking for a Director to join our management consulting team leading Marketing Transformation for some of the world’s largest brands and marketing organizations.
You will bring your passion for the marketing and media industry, your ability to deliver actionable insights and your strength in guiding a team of rising stars to find the right structures, processes, platforms and partners for the modern CMO to deliver on marketing growth. The role will challenge and empower you, providing C-level access across the industry and mentorship from colleagues with hands-on experience from all aspects of media, technology, agencies, brand marketing and more.
As a Director at MediaLink you will set the strategic approach to delivering on our clients’ need to learn, grow and transform in their respective sectors. Directors play an important role for clients as they are typically responsible for guiding and managing successful engagements and interfacing with senior client executives as the key product and deliverable owner or day-to-day project lead. In this highly dynamic and entrepreneurial role, no two days are alike; one day you will be designing the future marketing structure for an auto manufacturer, the next you are benchmarking the data-driven capabilities of a Retail company to assess gaps and opportunities.
Across all your projects and engagements, you will connect themes and insights for the benefit of all clients and help build a centralized body of knowledge and industry perspective. A successful Director will have the ability to work across a wide range of verticals and company life-stages, is a self-starter and will be energized by the variety and inter-connectivity of MediaLink’s client engagements.
The salary range for this role is $120,000-$160,000 commensurate with experience and skills.
What You Will Do:
- Engagement Management & Strategic Analysis
- Strong client, project and people management skills - demonstrated ability to structure, manage and deliver complex workstreams and solutions to senior-level stakeholders
- Collaboration across teams to drive successful project outcomes, both inside MediaLink and with client partners
- Business acumen and ability to think strategically: strong analytical skills and comfort with hypothesis-driven problem solving to drive work plans and prioritize engagement activities
- Manage and structure the contributions of more junior team members, serving as an effective coach and contributing to the development of their core consulting skills
- Ownership of client deliverables in tandem with engagement sponsor on larger engagements; help direct junior team members and manage timelines across simultaneous projects or work streams accordingly
- Support and manage client relationships, serving as key day-to-day contact
- Develop practical recommendations for strategy and clearly defined execution plans to bring said strategy to life
- Support business growth opportunities with existing clients by understanding the broad MediaLink service offerings, listening for triggers and raising cross-sell and upsell opportunities strategically aligned with client needs
- Lead the process of client discovery, market research and diligence requirements including guiding interviews that source clarity from clients and net new insights from the industry
- Collaboration & Communication
- Supervise junior staff with respect to approvals around communication, prioritization of project workload and evaluation of draft output for client deliverables
- Complete work as needed by the engagement lead on larger engagements; help direct junior team members and manage cross-client timelines accordingly
- Business Development & Product Strategy
- Work with senior leadership to identify potential new business opportunities and draft statements of work that clearly articulate how MediaLink can accelerate their business faster than they could do on their own
- Leverage industry network, trades and MediaLink intelligence to uncover trends and opportunities for active client assignments and future business development
What You Will Bring:
- 6+ years of work experience in media, marketing, advertising, technology and/or consulting fields
- MBA desirable, but not required
- Proven experience in applying well-developed problem-solving skills (quantitative, conceptual, analytical) and crafting original strategic recommendations with limited involvement from leadership
- Proven track record of selling through recommendations to internal teams and/or clients; demonstrated success in turning ideas into actions
- Fluency in media/advertising/technology industry terms and trends
- Ability to partner across the organization to deliver engagement objectives
What You Will Get:
- The unique and exciting opportunity to work at one of the leading global entertainment companies
- Access to the tools, leadership, and resources you will need to create and drive a center of excellence
- Work in an inclusive and diverse company culture
- Competitive benefits and programs to support your well-being
- Collaborative colleagues who are focused on making an impact
