Job description
We are looking for a Director of IT to join our expanding Trust team at Altus Education Partnership. We need a dedicated and forward-thinking IT professional to provide strong IT leadership within our successful Multi-Academy Trust. The work of the Director of IT will be rooted in ensuring benefit to the learners and communities the Trust serves.
The overall purpose of the role will be to lead and manage the provision of the IT service to the academies within Altus Education Partnership (the Trust). This will involve working alongside the CEO in driving the alignment between IT strategy and business objectives across the Trust; and working in partnership with leaders, key stakeholders, and IT colleagues to shape, develop and deliver IT plans, solutions and services in line with the needs and priorities of the Trust. The role will balance strategic input with the drive for an effective operational delivery, continually identifying and implementing service improvements.
Some of the key areas of responsibility will include IT Strategy, IT Policies and Procedures, IT Management and IT Operational Delivery. Please refer to the application pack for further details.
The Altus Education Partnership was formed in 2017 by the governing body of Rochdale Sixth Form College, an Ofsted outstanding college, currently with around 1900 students. The College opened in 2010 and since then it has raised achievement in the area dramatically and become nationally recognised; the college is Ofsted outstanding, and regularly being one of the highest performing colleges in the country according to DFE’s performance tables and national achievement rate tables.
