- Monday- Friday, 8:30AM CST- 5:00PM CST; Flex Schedule as Needed
POSITION SUMMARY
- The HR Director will oversee and support daily functions of the Human Resources department for 4Front Ventures site locations in MA, IL, CA, and AZ through strategic leadership in the areas of organizational development, performance management, succession planning, benefits and compensation, employee relations, and labor laws/legal compliance.
Reporting into General Counsel, the Human Resources Director will build and maintain strong internal and cross-functional relationships to support overall company initiatives.
JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and ensure organization compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Partner with HR site representatives to support employee relations and performance management
- Collaborate with the talent management partners to execute initiatives to support industry best practice for effective talent management methods enabling overall company growth
- Manages sensitive and confidential information responsibly to include coaching documents, wages, and performance action plans
- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, supporting benefits initiatives and organizing team building activities
- Maintains knowledge of market trends, industry best practices, regulatory changes, and new HR technologies and employment law
- Develop and maintain appropriate staff performance appraisal systems, both formal and informal
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal stakeholders
- Provide leadership support to HR team through strategic coaching, employee performance reviews, and career pathway development
- Lead succession planning discussion and provide sound insight of skill gap analysis
- Support and manage audits to ensure accuracy of all data/reporting to provide accurate reporting dashboards to Executive leadership
- Maintain employee visibility through site visits and employee interaction
- Facilitate and lead HR working sessions and team meetings
- Develop and manage department budget in partnership with leadership; provide recommendations on cost saving measures
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
- Partner with management and HR site representatives on high-risk separations of employment
- Develop and implementation department SOP’s and HR policy
- Identify new opportunities for HR to add value to the business
- Support other HR initiatives and projects as assigned to continue to support overall company goals and initiatives
QUALIFICATION
- 6-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience or related field; 4+ years in a leadership position
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources or related field (preferred)
- SHRM Certification (preferred)
- HRIS and ATS experience
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong internal and cross- functional relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, TEAMs, etc.)
- Prior Cannabis Industry Experience (preferred)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
- Active and valid government issued photo identification
- 21 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain and maintain Dispensing Organization Agent Identification Card (obtained upon hire) in accordance with State law.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work involves physical exertion such as bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), kneeling, squatting, pivoting, and carrying items/ product on a regular basis. Employees will be required to stand for extended periods and may need to climb ladders or operate equipment. The warehouse environment may be subject to hot and cold temperatures, and ventilation may not be available in all areas. The warehouse environment may be subject to elevated noise volumes due to equipment, machinery, and the movement of goods. The warehouse may be subject to dirt, dust, cleaning solutions, chemicals, and debris from the handling of goods. The warehouse may have safety hazards such as slippery floors, moving equipment, and the presence of hazardous materials. You will need to follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment.
