- Experience leading and setting business management cadence including business planning, operating model design, reporting, and core sales processes. Experience developing and deploying strategy and integrated go-to-market plans.
- Experience developing and implementing business performance improvement plans, including post-sales implementation planning.
- Experience with cross-functional leadership and general management capabilities.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or Master's degree.
- Experience leading people and growing and developing talent.
- Knowledge of Google’s Ads products and business teams as well as the customer and competitive contexts in which they operate.
- Ability to take initiative and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Thought leadership, and ability to lead complex operational and strategic cross-functional initiatives at the c-level.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills, combined with effective business judgment and communication skills.

As the Director, Go-To-Market Operations, UK and Ireland (UKI), you will partner closely with the Vice President of UK and Ireland and their management team to set direction for the UKI business with a focus on business transformation, sales execution, and business generation to drive growth.
As a member of the UKI Management Group, you will work closely with the full cross-functional leadership team for the business and for reputation and regulatory activities. In this role, you will support sales and enable successful delivery of the business plan by creating a business rhythm that allows the management team to set the right aspiration and direction, track performance (including business reviews), identify shortfalls and opportunities, and execute key initiatives in the country. You will also be responsible for cascading global and regional strategy and programs into UKI and sharing best practices from UKI across the region and globally.
The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy UKI strategy and integrated go-to-market plans, working collaboratively with relevant UKI Sales and cross-functional leads. Provide consistent metrics to understand and improve business performance, balancing business plays with tight post-sales implementation planning.
- Lead and set business management cadence including business planning, operating model design, reporting, and core sales processes.
- Ensure appropriate resource allocation (e.g., sales teams, operational expenditure, sales-tech support) to achieve business and productivity goals. Leverage best practices and global programs into prioritized sales plans and scalable business practices.
- Participate and contribute to strategic efforts in close collaboration with Regional and Global teams, leveraging pragmatic business insight. Pre-empt and problem-solve on all operational issues, in particular lead and integrate cross-functional efforts.
- Lead a team, managing recruitment, career development, and productivity.
