Job description
- Assess residents' healthcare needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Oversee the implementation and evaluation of care plans to ensure the provision of comprehensive and person-centered care.
- Monitor residents' health conditions, medication administration, and coordinate with physicians and other healthcare providers as needed.
- Promote wellness initiatives, including fitness programs, health education, and preventive care, to enhance residents' overall well-being.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards to ensure regulatory compliance and maintain the highest quality of care.
- Supervise and support the healthcare staff, including nurses, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional growth.
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship to the healthcare team, ensuring their knowledge and skills align with current best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance staff performance and job satisfaction.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with residents, families, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
- Serve as a resource and advocate for residents and families, addressing concerns and promoting open dialogue.
- Collaborate with other departments within the assisted living community to promote an integrated approach to resident care and well-being.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing healthcare services within an assisted living community.
- Conduct regular audits and quality assurance measures to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Stay updated with industry trends, evidence-based practices, and regulatory changes to continuously improve the quality of care provided.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in assisted living, skilled nursing, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
